Why it’s not a good idea to complete show entries late at night

Rod: “Yes, this weekend it’s the Biggar show.”
Colleague: “Ah. Where is it?”
I remember laughing uncontrollably when I found a publication in a library catalogue by the Biggar Womens’ Institute. I digress! Biggar is a lovely town, with award-winning fish and chips and the best Scotch Pies we know. Jake loves to hoover up scraps in Biggar. Good dog show too, apparently.
ANYWAY. I was just looking at the running orders and nearly swallowed my teeth – because I seem to have inadvertently entered us for the Kennel Club Olympia ABC (anything but collies) Agility Stakes (combined large grades 1-7) instead of the more appropriate Agility 1-2 Graded class. Please stop laughing at the back.

Hi Jake. Did you do the tricky course yet? If so, I bet you did just fine. I saw your video and you are excellent at agility. If you haven't done it yet, best of luck! Stop by my blog again anytime. Let's be friends!
Chef
Sometimes tricky situations like this one actually benefit you. I would have never thought of entering Xsara into EO last year, but my friend accidentally added us to the list. And I am so glad that we went! It was a great trial, and I felt no pressure because I wasn't even counting on being there. It was a great experience and this year, I entered us on purpose :)
If you haven't run it yet, I wish you all the best - if you have, we're waiting for your news!
Chef - thanks for stopping by!
Xsara - I agree it's good to push yourself. Some folks in my class are wary of entering competitions but it seems to me it really shows us what we need to practice - and it's great fun. I know I have a competitive streak. :-) It was way above our level but I learned lots from just walking the course. In the event, Jake got a bit distracted... but more about that elsewhere!
Have you run your EO qualifiers yet? Best of luck if so!
